- Ammunition and Regulated Items Must Ship via Ground Only
All ammunition—including primers, reloading components, and other DOT-regulated or hazardous items—must be shipped via ground freight.
Air shipping (including USPS or UPS Air services) is strictly prohibited under federal regulations. We do offer overnight and 2nd Day shipping on a case-by-case basis.
- HazMat Fees Apply
Regulated items such as smokeless powder, black powder, and primers are subject to additional hazardous materials (HazMat) handling charges.
- Shipping to Restricted Destinations
Superior Ammunition must comply with state and local laws prohibiting shipment of controlled items. We cannot ship ammunition or regulated products to certain locations, including (but not limited to):
- California: Ammunition must be shipped only to licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealers. We do not ship directly to end consumers in California.
- New York: Due to regulatory restrictions, we are unable to ship ammunition to New York addresses.
- Other Restricted Zones: Certain areas restrict items like magazines above certain capacities or specific ammunition types. Customers will be notified if their destination is restricted.
- Orders Cannot Be Modified or Canceled
Once an ammunition order is placed, it cannot be changed or cancelled. Please review your order carefully before confirming.
- Black Powder Limits
We do not currently have any black powder in stock due to insurance reasons.
- FFL Dealer Required in Certain Jurisdictions
In states where ammunition must be shipped to FFL dealers (e.g., California), customers must provide valid FFL documentation during checkout. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the order.
- Regulatory Changes May Affect Delivery
Superior Ammunition reserves the right to adjust shipping capabilities in response to federal, state, or local law changes. Any updates in law may affect whether or how we can ship ammunition to specific locations.
